By modifying the position of the flywheel, this offset key adds 10° of advance, significantly improving acceleration.

Depending on the engine configuration, the ignition can be placed on the left or the right.

-Either it rotates clockwise, in which case the key must be fitted (looking at it from the front) with the offset side to the right.

Or, it turns anti-clockwise, in which case the key should be fitted on the side that is offset to the left.

On the other hand, you have to be careful: if you give the ignition too much advance by triggering the spark plug too early, the risks of auto-ignition and detonation are increased, which could lead to piston seizure, melting of the spark plug electrode or even a hole in the piston head (with dramatic consequences for the lower engine, which doesn't appreciate droplets of molten aluminium). Our key avoids these problems.
